One thing that I know about heirlooms on a wedding day is that they come in all shapes and sizes, they can be passed down and they can be preserved for another time or just be apart of that day. Let me explain by first giving you the definition of heirloom:
: a valuable object that is owned by a family for many years and passed from one generation to another
: an old type of plant that is still available because individual people have continued to grow it for many years
With that being said I have collected just SOME photographs for this post of the beautiful heirlooms present in some of the weddings I've photographed over the past years. I encourage all of my couples to incorporate a family heirloom in some way, shape, or form somehow! Or consider giving one to another person that day for them to hold on to! I am a sucker for traditional aspects such as heirlooms incorporated in a wedding. Consider them--because you never know how many generations it may go down in your family!
